Haleigh Arden O'Neill

Haleigh Arden O’Neill started her musical journey with a portable keyboard sometime around July/August 2020 during the Covid-19 Lockdown. She advanced quickly and seemed to be able to play anything she wanted to play. In May 2021 Haleigh had her first piano lesson with Dr. Will Bailey from The Piano Gallery. After a few lessons Dr. Bailey recommended Haleigh to Dr. Joachim Reinhuber, Professor of Piano at Texas A&M University Kingsville. Dr. Reinhuber agreed to see Haleigh once per month while she took lessons from one of his students. At that time, Haleigh was just 10 years old. Haleigh composed her first Piano Sonata during the summer of 2022. Starting the Fall of 2022 Haleigh now studies piano exclusively with Dr. Joachim Reinhuber at Texas A&M University Kingsville. Since January 2023 Haleigh also studies Composition with Dr. James Wilding, a Professor at The University of Akron in Ohio. To date, Haleigh has performed nine recitals at Texas A&M University Kingsville, she has performed for the Corpus Christi Music Teacher’s Association, as well as during the College Student Recital during Piano Celebration Week 2023 at The Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Haleigh was recently invited to perform at a Music Festival in Kaufbeuren, Germany in January 2024. Haleigh is also a member of the Corpus Christi Area Youth Orchestra. On October 19, 2023, Haleigh performed with The Corpus Christi Chamber Orchestra at Del Mar College to bring one of her own compositions, a piano concerto, to life. This was the first time Haleigh was able to hear one of her own compositions performed by a live orchestra. Haleigh has composed multiple symphonies, piano concertos, pieces for smaller ensembles, and solo piano works. She hopes to one day compose music for film and television.
