Marcin and Yuka Piano Duo
Marcin Parys, an acclaimed Polish pianist, has earned top prizes in more than thirty international competitions, establishing himself as a powerful and dynamic presence on the world stage. Yuka Mikata, a distinguished Japanese pianist trained in both Japan and Russia, is equally recognized for her artistry and for her role as a visionary organizer of piano competitions and special performances throughout the United States.
The two first met in Texas in 2020, serving together as judges at the XIV Sonatina and Sonata International Youth Piano Competition. Their musical partnership was born from this encounter, uniting Marcin’s expressive brilliance with Yuka’s refined and evocative tonal sensitivity.
In 2022, they officially founded the Marcin and Yuka Piano Duo, launching their collaboration with the debut album Fire and Water. Featuring works by Chopin, Schubert, and Saint-Saëns, the album was praised for its masterful artistry and its ability to seamlessly weave together contrasting emotions and sonorities.
Since then, the duo has performed widely across the United States and Japan, earning acclaim for recitals that transcend performance to create profound, shared experiences. Their repertoire spans classical masterpieces as well as imaginative arrangements of popular music, offering programs that delight both seasoned audiences and newcomers alike.
Beyond the concert hall, Marcin and Yuka actively connect with a global audience through their YouTube channel, “Marcin and Yuka Piano Duo,” where they share recordings of past performances. Their growing presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and their website marcinandyuka.com
