Ayham Hammour
A native of Damascus, Ayham Hammour started his piano studies at the age of six. He earned his Bachelor degree from the Higher Music Institute in Damascus, where he was student of Professor Cynthia Al Wadi.
He graduated with his Master’s degree with honorable mention from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, as a student of Prof. Mirosław Herbowski. Ph.D. studies finished at the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland, under the guidance of Prof. Mariusz Drzewicki.
He has additional study and coaching with the outstanding world-famous faculty of festivals and masterclasses in Prague, Warsaw, Hungary, Katowice, including Andrzej Jasiński, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Anna Malikova, Wolfgang Manz and Bradley C. Bolen.
He is a top prize winner in several piano competitions, for example Grand Prix in The International Piano Competition in Trzciana – Poland, First Prize in Golden Classical Music Award in New York (USA), First Prize in the Swiss International Competition in Switzerland, First prize in the International competition (Musica Insieme) in Venice, Italy, First Prize in The International Master Competition in Warsaw, Poland, second Prize at The International Chopin Piano Competition in Vienna, and many other prizes.
Dr. Hammour is an active performer, he played recitals and concerts in many prestigious concert halls Baroque hall in Vienna, Roxy Grove hall Baylor University in USA- Paderewski Center in Kąśna-Poland, Krzyżowa palace and concert halls in Madrid, Venice, Vienna, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Lodz and many others. This year will be held his debut on the prestigious “Carnegie Hall in New York.
Dr. Hammour serves as piano faculty for several music conservatories in Krakow, including the Bronisław Rutkowski Music School in Krakow and the Jan Kochanowski university in Kielce.
In 2020 He recorded his CD (my Journey Cd1) in Vienna which includes works by J. Haydn, R. Schumann and the polish composer Waldemar Król. Second CD recorded in 2021 with S. Rachmaninoff piano sonatas.
